Ronald R. Sloan has been named president and chief executive of San Francisco-based Amfac, effective in May. He will succeed Ralph A. Van Orsdel Jr., who will become chairman of the executive committee.
Sloan has been executive vice president and chief operating officer of the diversified company since last September.
