Veteran Jacques Luethy defended his national title in the men’s slalom with a fast second run in the Swiss Ski Championships at Gruesch, Switzerland.
Runner-up Christophe Berra was 7/100ths of a second behind Luethy’s two-run total of 1:38.23.
Corinne Schmidhauser, fresh from her first World Cup victory a week ago, defended her slalom title at Zinal with a winning time of 1:38.13--13/100ths of a second ahead of Erika Hess.
