Despite declining sales, San/Bar Corp. of Irvine trimmed losses in its telecommunications business to $45,000 in the second quarter, compared with losses of $194,000 a year earlier.
Revenues for the period ended Dec. 31 were $4.2 million, down 24% from the $5.5 million recorded the year before.
In the first six months of the year, the company had profits of $335,000, compared with $7.8 million the prior year. However, the year-ago figure included an $8.6 million extraordinary gain from a lawsuit settlement that erased an $800,000 operating loss. Revenues for the period were $8.5 million, down 16% from the $10.1 million posted a year ago.
