Pleasure at Bisbee
To some of us who have visited Bisbee over the past 40 years, we have seen it change, of course, but it has always been fascinating, full of history of the pioneers, the Indians and historic places. In the Chiricahua Mountains, a few miles from town, is Cochise Stronghold Park where groups and families can gather to picnic or barbecue. It is nicely maintained, very wooded and pretty, and named for a man who is a legend.
The Courtyard, a short distance up the canyon from the Inn at Castle Rock, serves delicious meals in a warm and friendly atmosphere. East of town is Mike’s Place, an inviting dining room that features steak dinners. Another one west of town, up in Mule Mountain Pass, is the Outback, which serves elegant dinners in a refined atmosphere.
Bisbee has a country club where visitors can play golf. It is a pretty nice course, has a luncheon and bar and a large clubroom for social gatherings and banquets.
