Orange League : Walker Scores 35 to Set Brea Career Scoring Mark

Kevin Walker, Brea High School center, scored 35 points Wednesday night in the Wildcats’ 70-46 victory over Western to become the school’s all-time leading scorer.
Walker, headed to UCLA on a basketball scholarship, has a career total of 1,527 points--enabling him to surpass the previous Brea record of 1,496, held by Paul Thomas.
The first-place Wildcats improved to 7-0 and 19-4. Western is 2-5, 7-12.

BREA (70)--Francis 8, Anderson 8. Thomas 2, Graham 2, Khiotti 2, Williams 4, Dossey 3, Walker 35, Tousey 6.
Anaheim 50, Valencia 49--Anaheim center Will Barber made two free throws with 10 seconds left to give the Colonists an upset win over Valencia. The victory moves Anaheim (3-4, 11-9) into a second-place tie with Valencia, Savanna and Magnolia. The Tigers fell to 3-4 in league and 11-8 overall.

ANAHEIM (50)--Pacheco 8, Gistlick 7, Robuffo 19, Barber 10, Johnston 6.
Magnolia 60, Savanna 41--Mike Gosf scored 18 points and pulled in 12 rebounds to lead the Sentinels (3-4, 8-14) to the victory at home over the Rebels (3-4, 5-12).
