Women’s Basketball : Thobe, Hathcock Lead Orange Coast Past Cypress

Center Mary Thobe scored 29 points and had 11 rebounds to lead Orange Coast College to an 87-65 South Coast Conference win over Cypress Wednesday.
Forward Amy Hathcock added 18 points to help the Pirates (8-3).
Guard Cheryl Hoffman had 20 points for Cypress (3-8, 9-12). Robyn Walker added 12 points and 10 rebounds.
In other South Coast games:
Saddleback 83, Mt. San Antonio 62--Sophomore center Connie Waikle had 35 points and and freshman forward Cheryl Eiland added 22 to the lead the Gauchos (9-1, 18-6). Jeanetta Smith had 21 points for the Mounties (3-6).
