East Germany’s Katarina Witt retained her women’s title by coming from behind to win the free-skating in the European figure-skating championships at Copenhagen.
Kira Ivanova of the Soviet Union, the early leader, dropped to second place because of her lackluster performance, and another Soviet woman, Anna Kondrashova, took the bronze medal.
