PCAA Roundup : Las Vegas Holds Off Fullerton

Guard Freddie Banks scored 20 points and forward Anthony Jones added 14 and a team-high 6 rebounds to lead 10th-ranked Nevada Las Vegas to a 62-51 victory over Cal State Fullerton Saturday in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. basketball game at Titan Gym.
Fullerton pulled to within 50-43 with two minutes to play, but the Rebels hit 10 of 10 free throws down the stretch, including 6 of 6 by center Richard Robinson, to put away the game.
Forward Armon Gilliam scored 13 points for the Rebels, who improved their record to 6-0 in the PCAA and 17-2 overall.
Forward Henry Turner scored 15 points and had a game-high 8 rebounds to lead the Titans, whose record fell to 3-4 and 10-9.
