Mar Vista : Center Joins State Program

The Westside Center for Independent Living has been selected as one of 13 sites statewide to participate in a state-funded program serving seniors citizens and functionally impaired adults who might otherwise be institutionalized.
The new program is called Linkages and serves both Medi-Cal recipients and those not on Medi-Cal.
Coordination of services such as transportation, adult day care, home safety modification, government benefits, legal assistance, housing, mental health options and medical referrals will be handled by Linkages, according to director Amy Fox-Lovejoy. The Westside Community for Independent Living serves Culver City, Mar Vista, Marina del Rey, Palms, Santa Monica, West Los Angeles, Venice and Westchester.
