Two persons, including a pregnant woman, were hospitalized and 52 others suffered minor injuries when a rush-hour commuter train rammed a concrete abutment in the Hoboken, N.J. station, authorities said. “People went flying everywhere,†said Clare Sylvestri, a rider who suffered a slight nose injury. “People were all over the place.†Officials said it appeared that a loose rail contributed to the accident, which caused $25,000 in damage to the six-car New Jersey Transit train and other equipment.
