Bruce was locked up in San Benito County because he killed a raven. Not usually a jailable offense, admittedly, but Bruce is a raven too. “This bird has problems,†said Nan Pipestem, director of the San Benito County Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. “He’s really neurotic. He wants nothing to do with his own species. . . . He thinks he’s human.†Pipestem said Bruce doesn’t like human beings much either, always watching for a chance to fly at any who get too close.
