Peninsula Basketball Tournament Begins

SAN DIEGO — The Peninsula basketball tournament begins today with six games scheduled at Point Loma High School.
The tournament format has each of the eight boys’ teams playing doubleheaders on either the first or second day of play.
Southwest will play Carlsbad at 11 in today’s first game, followed by Castle Park vs. University at 12:45, University City vs. Mar Vista at 2:30, Chula Vista vs. Point Loma at 4:15, Carlsbad vs. Castle Park at 6:15 and Point Loma vs. University City at 8.
Second- and third-round games will be played Tuesday with final scheduled for Thursday.
