Eye Research Center Opens at Cedars-Sinai
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has opened a new eye research center endowed with a $1 million gift from Jane and Norman Neely.
The Neely Keratoconus Center will do research on an eye ailment in which the cornea becomes uneven and cone-shaped, causing progressive vision loss. There is no known cure or treatment for the ailment, which affects about 500,000 Americans, according to Dr. Anthony B. Nesburn, director of Ophthalmology Research at Cedars-Sinai.
