Mike Crawford, a 5-11, 203-pound senior tailback out of Thousand Oaks High and Moorpark College, on Sunday rushed for 103 yards on 18 carries and had 2 receptions for 11 yards in Arizona State’s 18-17 loss to Arkansas in the Holiday Bowl in San Diego.

Pat Yerina, a 6-5, 220-pound senior forward from Thousand Oaks, is averaging 15.6 points and seven rebounds a game at Fairfield University, a Division I school in Fairfield, Conn. Yerina is the Stags’ leading rebounder and second-leading scorer. He ranks seventh in scoring and third overall in rebounding among Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference players. Fairfield is 4-3 this season.

Judith Brame, women’s athletic director at Cal State Northridge, will speak on athletic budgeting at the NCAA Professional Development Seminar in New Orleans on Jan. 10-11. The seminars will be held in conjunction with the NCAA Convention.
