Whittier : School Boards Pick Officers

Four area school boards recently elected presidents to one-year terms.
Harward Stearns was elected president of the Whittier Union High School District Board of Education, succeeding Joan Nay. A. Roy Salas was elected vice president. Eve Burnett, who was reelected to the board in November, was named clerk.
In the Los Nietos School District, Ricardo Alvarez was reelected president. Sylvia Orona is the new vice president, while new board member Leonard Munoz was elected clerk. Next door in the Little Lake School District, Sara Mendez succeeded Richard Moore as president of the Board of Education. Alex Morales was elected vice president, and Alva Folsom was reelected secretary.
In the Rio Hondo Community College District, Marilee Morgan was elected president of the Board of Trustees, succeeding Isabelle Gonthier. Julio Fuentes is the new vice president, and Gonthier was elected clerk.
