Eagle Rock Girl Repeats as City Tennis Champion

Top-ranked Janice Lum of Eagle Rock won the City high school girls’ tennis championship Friday, defeating second-ranked Anya Kochoff of Palisades, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2, at the Racquet Centre in Studio City.
It was the second straight individual title for Lum, who is a junior. She will have a chance next year to tie the record of three straight held by Linda Howe of Venice.
Rowena Montenegro and Stacy Kolker of Grant won the doubles title, beating Jenny Knotts and Cindy Gregory of Westchester, 7-6, 7-6.
