Shoemaker Gets Rivlia Home First in Feature

Rivlia, ridden by Bill Shoemaker, weaved his way through traffic in the stretch, then moved ahead in the final strides to win Friday’s $27,000 feature race at Hollywood Park.

Rivlia was clocked in 1:43 1/5 for the 1 1/16-mile race and paid $5.60, $3.80 and $3. Barland, ridden by Rafael Meza, finished second and paid $9.40 and $5.80. Faridpour, ridden by Frank Olivares, returned $4.80.
