Bruins, Trojans Win in NCAA Volleyball

Junior Lisa Ettesbold had 12 kills and 5 blocks to lead UCLA’s women’s volleyball team to a 15-3, 15-5, 15-8 victory over Georgia in the NCAA South Regional semifinals Friday at Austin, Tex.
Liz Masakayan added 10 kills for the Bruins (28-6), who will play Texas (25-5) for the regional championship tonight. The Longhorns beat Texas A&M;, 15-6, 15-8, 15-3, in the other semifinal.
At Lincoln, Neb., Tracy Clark had 16 kills as USC defeated Illinois 15-8, 15-8, 15-9, in the NCAA Mideast Regional semifinals.
In the second game, Karen Dahlgren had 23 kills to lead Nebraska to a 15-1, 16-14, 12-15, 15-11 win over Purdue.
USC (24-8) and Nebraska (28-2) will play for the regional title tonight.
