NEW YORK — William H. Luers has been elected president of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Luers, who is expected to assume the position in the late spring, will succeed William B. Macomber.
In another action, William S. Paley, board chairman of the Museum of Modern Art, was elected chairman emeritus.
