Windy Storm Blasts West

Wind up to 74 m.p.h. whipped blinding snow across northern Utah today, closing schools and causing power outages, while Interstate 80 in Wyoming was shut for a second day by blowing snow.
In Utah, wind blasting out of the Wasatch Mountains dropped the wind chill factor to 35 below zero, and blowing snow that cut visibility to near zero was blamed for about 20 accidents, none serious, the state Highway Patrol said.
