Newport Harbor and Mira Costa Play for State Volleyball Title : Mira Costa, Newport Harbor Meet for State Title
Mira Costa High School of Manhattan Beach and Newport Harbor High School of Newport Beach will play for the State Division I girls’ volleyball championship in a rematch of the Southern Section 5-A title match at 7 tonight at Golden West College.
Mira Costa (23-0), which has lost only two games all season, won the 5-A title with a three-game victory over Newport Harbor (20-1). Mira Costa is ranked No. 1 in the country by Volleyball Monthly magazine.
Ojai Nordhoff (20-0) will play South San Francisco (25-1) at 5 p.m. for the Division II title, and Anaheim Southern California Christian (21-0) will play San Andreas Calaveras (15-2) at 3 p.m. for the Division III championship.
