Clippers Run NBA Team Just Like a Law Firm

It’s interesting watching the front office of the Clippers stumble and bumble in operation of the franchise. Who would expect otherwise, given that the three principals in charge are all lawyer pals of owner Donald Sterling.

Lawyers over-negotiate almost everything they come into contact with. The recent wrangle over a contract for Norm Nixon is a perfect example. In an effort to come to terms with Nixon and his agent, these fools find themselves in a situation of having to pay far more for Nixon’s services than he, himself, had originally asked for.

The problem of running a sports franchise like a law firm is that they are in no way alike. These people are not concerned with winning or losing, but rather, how they look doing it.
