BRIEFLY : CSUN, Cal Lutheran Place 6 on All-WFC Team
The Cal State Northridge and Cal Lutheran football teams didn’t exactly dominate the Western Football Conference this season. Both teams finifshed 1-4, so it stands to reason the 1985 all-conference team is not dominated by Matadors and Kingsmen.
Six players from the two schools were named to the 27-player honor roll, which was released Wednesday.
Senior tackles Ray Oregel and Joe Barbosa of CSUN repeated as All-WFC selections. Oregel (6-4, 290 pounds) made the offensive team for the second straight season. Barbosa (6-4, 240) was selected in 1983.
Also named to the offensive team were CSUN wide receiver Kenny Garrett and Cal Lutheran tight end Darren Gottschalk. Linebackers Ken Wood (CLC) and Mike Pestana (CSUN) were named to the defensive team.
