3 Rescuers Sought in Attempted Abduction
Los Angeles County sheriff’s investigators are looking for three members of a family whom they credit with helping a Westlake Village woman escape Tuesday from four men attempting to abduct her.
Sheriff’s Detective Ed Young said the 54-year-old woman, whose name was not released, was walking on Lindero Canyon Road in Westlake Village at 2:30 p.m. when one of the men jumped from a car and attempted to pull her into it.
The woman resisted and sprayed the man with Mace, Young said. A couple and their teen-age son saw the commotion and ran to assist her while yelling at the would-be abductors. The men then drove away, he said.
The victim was unhurt, Young said. He said investigators are looking for the people who aided her to obtain descriptions of the attackers.
