Ford Aerospace & Communications Corp. of Newport Beach has received a one-year, $64.4-million contract to provide training and maintenance for the Air Force’s Satellite Control Facility. The contract also has four additional one-year extensions that would bring the total value of the contract to $366 million. Work on the contract will be handled by Ford Aerospace’s plant in Sunnyvale, Calif., where about 1,000 employees are assigned to the program.
