Saddleback High and Bolsa Grande Meet as Football Playoffs Open at Santa Ana

Saddleback High School, seeded second in the Central Conference, hosts Bolsa Grande in the opening round of the football playoffs today at 7:30 in Santa Ana Stadium.

The Roadrunners ended the regular season with a 9-1 record and were co-champions of the Sea View League with Newport Harbor. Saddleback is led by running back Glenn Campbell, who has rushed for 1,212 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Bolsa Grande (6-4) finished second in the Garden Grove League behind La Quinta. The Matadors don’t have a player among Orange County’s statistical leaders, but they came within a dropped conversion pass of unseating La Quinta as league champion.
