At least 11 employees of Garrett AiResearch Manufacturing Co. were disciplined in connection with an FBI investigation into kickbacks on subcontracts. Company supervisors told the purchasing department employees to clean out their desks and leave the plant. No arrests have yet been made in the investigation, which began at the company’s request, said Thomas Bennett, vice president for human resources for the Westchester-based Garrett Corp., parent company of AiResearch. “There is a joint investigation with federal authorities concerning possible fraud on the part of employees,†Bennett said. “This was brought to the attention of our management, who brought in the FBI.†Bennett declined to comment further on the investigation.
