Another prisoner was stabbed at Folsom Prison, the fourth in three days and the 190th this year. The latest victim was identified as Alejandro Ferrel, 36, serving a life sentence from Los Angeles for numerous crimes, including robbery, rape and assault with a deadly weapon. He was reported in critical condition at a Sacramento hospital. Prison spokesman Lt. T. J. Smith said Ferrel was stabbed repeatedly by at least two other prisoners as they were being released from their cells for breakfast. Daniel Pina, 27, serving life for murder in Los Angeles, and Angel Valencia, 27, serving life without parole for murder in Los Angeles, were put in “administrative segregation†pending further investigation. Smith said two prison-made knives were found at the scene.
