Chamber Seeks Beautification Nominations
Nominations for its 16th annual Beautification Awards are being sought by the Los Angeles West Chamber of Commerce. Awards will be given to landscape architects, contractors and owners of new and remodeled projects completed during 1985.
To be eligible, the project must be located between City Hall on the east, the Pacific Ocean on the west, Mulholland Drive on the north and Century Boulevard on the south. Entries must be submitted to the chamber at 10880 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 1103, Los Angeles 90024 by Feb. 28. A minimum of five color slides are required for each entry.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony to be held at the Hotel Bel-Air on April 14, according to Dori Pye, chamber president.
Judging the entires will be Prof. Samuel Aroni, UCLA Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Planning; Robert Herrick Carter, president, Robert Herrick Carter ASLA & Associates; Herbert Nadel, president, Herbert Nadel AIA & Partners; N. David O’Malley, executive vice president, Howard Hughes Development Corp., and Daniel Rosenfeld, vice president, Cadillac Fairview/California.
