Jim Williams to Get Award from Alliance
Jim Williams, president of Cannon Constructors, will be honored Wednesday with the “Spirit of Life†award by the Los Angeles County Construction Industries Alliance for the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte.
The presentation will be made at a dinner at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel that has a goal of raising $350,000 for the medical center’s capital projects. The 7:30 p.m. dinner will be preceded by a cocktail hour at 6:30 p.m.
Abe Bolsky, City of Hope president, said Williams “has provided outstanding leadership†during the two years he has served as president of the Los Angeles Alliance. “The organization has enjoyed the most successful period in its 12-year history under Jim’s leadership, having raised a record $750,000,†Bolsky said.
Williams served in executive positions in several New York construction firms before moving to Los Angeles where he established his company in 1978.
