Baxter Travenol said it settled a merger lawsuit.

The class-action suit filed in Delaware by a Baxter stockholder sought to bar the proposed merger between Baxter and American Hospital Supply. It was settled after the companies agreed to amend their merger agreement to spread out the $300 million in liquidated damage payments over six installments instead of four.
