Olson Industries will close its Texas food unit.

The Sherman Oaks-based egg distributor said it will shut down its unprofitable Mill Creek Foods unit by year-end. Sales of Mill Creek’s products, which include liquid quiche, accounted for less than 10% of the revenue of Olson and its affiliates, which totaled $247 million last year. Mill Creek employs about 12 workers.
