Volleyball Roundup : La Paglia Leads Golden West

Jennafer La Paglia had 11 kills and 3 blocks Friday night to lead the Golden West College women’s volleyball team to 15-5, 8-15, 15-7, 15-7 South Coast Conference win over Saddleback at Golden West.
Karen Knight added 8 kills and 4 blocks for the Rustlers, who are 9-1 in conference 9-3 overall.
In other South Coast Conference action:
Fullerton 3, Rancho Santiago 0--The Hornets defeated the Dons, 15-7, 15-5, 15-9, at Fullerton. Fullerton is 5-5 in conference, Rancho Santiago 4-5.
Golden West 3, Saddleback 1--The Rustlers remained in first place in the conference with a 15-5, 8-15, 15-7, 15-7 victory over the Gauchos in Huntington Beach. Golden West improved its SCC record to 10-1 while Saddleback dropped to 7-4.
Orange Coast 3, Mt. San Antonio 0--Barbara Bally had 12 kills and 3 aces to lead the Pirates to a 15-4, 15-3, 15-13 win over the Mounties at Walnut. Orange Coast is 7-3 in conference and 8-4 overall.
In California Collegiate Athletic Assn.:
Northridge 3, Chapman 1--Heather Hafner had 21 kills to lead the Matadors, the top-ranked Division II team in the nation, to a 15-8, 15-6, 8-15, 15-11 win over the 19th-ranked Panthers at Chapman.
Northridge is 8-0 in conference and 18-9 overall, Chapman 4-5 and 20-13.
