Westminster : Driver Killed as Car Strikes Center Divider

Westminster police Friday were investigating the death of a Midway City man after his car struck a center divider Thursday night on Bolsa Avenue east of Golden West Street. The driver, James P. Cruz, 20, and a passenger were westbound on Bolsa Avenue when they crossed the San Diego Freeway overpass and struck a center divider at 10:16 p.m. Lt. David Wiggs said Cruz was dead at the scene.
The passenger, Orlando L. Johnson, 22, of Anaheim was treated for cuts and bruises at Humana Hospital in Westminster and released, Wiggs said.
