Woman Killed by RTD Bus Identified
A 42-year-old woman who died when run over by an RTD bus in Granada Hills was identified Tuesday as Dominga Siqueiros Beltram of Hollywood, Los Angeles police reported.
The victim, a passenger on the bus, was killed about 9 p.m. Monday after she got off at a stop on the corner of Reseda Boulevard and Devonshire Street and began walking toward the front of the vehicle, Officer Richard Dehemmer said. As the bus pulled away, one of Beltram’s feet was run over by a rear wheel, she was dragged under the vehicle and it ran over her chest, RTD spokesman Richard Jager said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jager said the driver of the bus, David Olney, has been taken off duty pending the outcome of an investigation by the RTD.
