Store operators in a shopping center in the foothill community of Glenville were ordered by Kern County health officials to use bottled water after a well serving the center was found to contain gasoline-related compounds. County environmental health chief Vern Reichard said tests showed the water was unfit to drink. Source of the contamination has not been determined.
