Marines Warn of Noise: Residents near the U.S. Marine Corps Helicopter Air Station will have to contend with a few hours of noise this weekend as a military squadron prepares for a Sunday departure. The helicopters will go through testing procedures Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and again from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, said Cpl. Jeri Van Duzen, noting that the helicopters would be flown to another air base on a training mission. She said most flights at the base take place on weekdays, adding: “We wanted the residents to know that there will be a little noise instead of their nice, quiet weekend.”
