Hawthorne-based Maxicare Health Plans reported record revenue and profits for the third quarter ended Sept. 30. The company said that its net income increased 71% over the like 1984 period and noted that enrollment grew by 48,575 members in the quarter, an increase of 42% from a year earlier.
