Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel named Lloyd C. Lubensky of Van Nuys and former astronaut Thomas P. Stafford as directors.
Lubensky is president of American Jet Industries of Van Nuys. Stafford is vice chairman of the aerospace consulting firm of Stafford, Burke & Hecker of Alexandria, Va.
Last month, Allen E. Paulson, Wheeling-Pittsburgh’s largest shareholder and now chairman, ousted then-Chairman Dennis J. Carney and his management team in an attempt to break a bargaining impasse in the company’s 89-day strike. Paulson is chairman of Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., a major manufacturer of corporate jets and other aviation products.
