Braniff fired three more managers for theft.

According to officials of the Dallas-based airline, an in-house investigation uncovered “millions of dollars” in thefts of equipment and aircraft parts dating to 1982. On Monday, Braniff officials said one low-level manager had been fired. Company officials refused to identify the dismissed managers but said two were from Braniff and two others were from Braniff’s parent company, Dallas-based Dalfort Corp. A Braniff investigation revealed that the fired employees sold Braniff equipment for less than market value, officials said. The dismissed managers sometimes did not report the sale to the company, while at other times they accepted cash kickbacks from the buyers, the investigation indicated.
