Work Slated on Apartments
Construction is to begin later this month on Mariposa Gardens, a $5.2-million, two-story, 71-unit apartment complex that will have 20% of its one- and two-bedroom units administered by the Los Angeles City Housing Authority under its affordable housing program while the rest will be rented at the market rate.
Designed by Ruegger Architects of Marina del Rey, the complex is being developed by Shapell Housing Inc. It will be situated between Normandie and Mariposa avenues north of Rosewood Avenue in Hollywood and completion is scheduled for the summer of 1986.
