VILLA SAN GIOVANNI, Italy — A car packed with dynamite exploded in the center of this town in Italy’s southern Calabrian region, killing three people and injuring two, police said Saturday.
Police said the Friday night bombing probably was the work of the Mafia. They said they believed the target was Antonio Imerti, 39, reputed to be a mobster from a nearby town. Imerti was slightly hurt.
