Four Injured When Car and Motorcycle Collide
Four people were injured, two seriously, when a car traveling northbound at high speed on Coast Highway at Crystal Cove State Park, between Corona del Mar and Laguna Beach, went out of control, crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a motorcycle, the California Highway Patrol said.
The CHP said a Mercedes driven by a 22-year-old Santa Ana man with a woman passenger swerved into the southbound lane and collided with a Honda motorcycle driven by a 26-year-old San Diego man with a woman passenger. The two people on the motorcycle were seriously injured and transported by helicopter to Fountain Valley Community Hospital. The driver and passenger of the car were treated for minor injuries. The CHP spokesman declined to identify any of those involved in the accident.
