An Aug. 25 article mentioned that the Greystone Foundation has been seeking a cultural arts organization to take over Greystone and be a beneficial addition to the Beverly Hills community. Ms. Sherry Terzian’s letter (Sept. 1) could not have been a more ideal endorsement of the organization which I head. We are the Organ Institute of America, a nonprofit cultural arts group dedicated to the pipe organ, its history, literature and performance.
We are seeking a permanent location to house our research library, ‘hands-on’ museum and organ recital hall. We have the promise of a pipe organ whenever we secure a home. I have written Mr. Fred Nichols, who heads the Greystone Foundation, expressing our interest in the estate. It is too early to expect a reply, but I am extremely heartened to read such affirmative comments concerning a cultural arts group.
