A Los Angeles man has been booked on suspicion of felony vehicular manslaughter after a Compton teen-ager was hit and killed by a speeding motorist who failed to stop. Ronald Green, 16, was standing in Imperial Highway in the Lennox area directing traffic as a big-rig truck backed in to a storage yard when he was hit from behind by a car traveling about 45 m.p.h. A witness followed the driver to his home and then notified police, who later arrested Percy Clark, 45. Besides manslaughter, Clark was booked on suspicion of felony drunken and hit-and-run driving.
