Michael S. Kaye has been named president and chief executive officer of Westec Security of Irvine after serving as a consultant to its Tokyo-based parent company for the past two and a half years. Kaye, 31, was a Los Angeles attorney working as a consultant to Secom Co., Ltd. of Tokyo when he represented the company in its 1982 acquisition of Westec and its takeover of Valley Burglar and Fire Alarm of Fresno a year earlier. At Westec, he replaces Donald Reierson, who resigned in May.
