MONSTER MASHING
I am outraged by the cultural stereotypes promoted by the recently released film, “Godzilla 1985.”
The film only shows the destruction and meanness exhibited by Godzilla and does not present an accurate portrayal of everyday monster life.
Monsters are more than just fire-breathing, building-destroying, foot-stomping creatures. What about Cecil? And Dino? And Herman?
I urge an immediate boycott of this movie. It exploits reptiles and propagates the myth that all grotesque looking creatures taller than a seven-story building are violent. It is time for monsters and monster sympathizers everywhere to unite and show Hollywood that we will no longer tolerate phylum prejudice. And if they don’t listen, we’ll just have to destroy the city.
