Santa Monica : Colleague to Lead Memorial for Edwards
A memorial service for former Mayor Ken Edwards will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Greek Amphitheatre at Santa Monica High School, 601 Pico Blvd.
The public ceremony will be conducted by the Rev. James Conn, minister of the Church in Ocean Park. Conn and Edwards were colleagues on the City Council.

Edwards, a City Council member since 1981, died last week after a long battle against liver cancer. He was 44.

Family members have requested that in lieu of flowers donations be given to the Stepping Stone Crisis Center for Youths, 245 Hill St., or to the Vista del Mar Child Care Service, 3200 Motor Ave., Los Angeles 90064.
