Woman Raped, Choked: A 75-year-old woman discovered dead in the backyard of her home in the 300 block of East Baker Street in Placentia had apparently been raped and strangled, police said Wednesday. The victim, Beatrice Terrones, was found by relatives about 5:15 a.m. Tuesday after a great-granddaughter with whom she lived could not find the woman and called family members, Police Capt. Walt Pichon said. An autopsy performed Tuesday indicated that the assault took place the evening before Terrones’ body was discovered, Pichon said. Investigators have no suspects, he said.
