Construction Up $6 Million in County Area
Construction activity in the areas served by the Los Angeles County Building and Safety Division was valued at $128,984,220 in 2,731 building permits in July, up more than $6 million from the $122,093,900 in 2,462 permits recorded in July, 1984.
Permits for 621 dwelling units were issued for the county and 246 dwelling unit permits were issued for the 26 cities served by the division, according to T. A. Tidemanson, director. The largest permit, valued at $6.7 million, was for a school administration building in Malibu.
Newhall led the list of most active unincorporated areas, with July valuations totaling $21,055,820. Agoura Hills led the list of most active incorporated cities, with July valuation totals of $8,593,500.
